What each category does

Essential functions and preferences

We store your cookie choices in your browser’s local storage under scribehelp_cookie_preferences_v1. This records the selected categories, notice version and time of your choice. It is not a tracking identifier. Choices are remembered for up to 180 days; clearing browser storage removes them.

Analytics

With permission, Google Analytics helps us understand page visits and website use. Google may use analytics cookies such as _ga and cookies beginning _ga_. These are separate from the local storage used to remember your choice.

Advertising

With permission and an advertising tag configured, Google Ads can measure advertising performance and personalize ads. This may involve cookies such as _gcl_au and sharing advertising data with Google. Advertising is optional.
